Human Anatomy Diagram

Anatomy is the branch of science that deals with the study of the structure of living beings. Human anatomy helps in study of human structures and internal organs.
Introduction to human anatomy diagram
A diagram depicting internal organs of a human being explains the constituents of different organ systems namely digestive, cardio vascular, excretory, respiratory, Reproductive, Nervous system, endocrine, urinary, skeletal, muscular, and lymphatic systems.

Representation of Organs and Systems in Human Anatomy Diagram

Typical organs of each body system to be shown in a human anatomy diagram include the following:
Digestive: Digestive system as shown in human anatomy diagram is located in the abdomen between diaphragm and pelvis. Typical organs to be depicted in digestive system include mouth, salivary glands, oesophagus, stomach, pancreas, liver, gall bladder, colon, appendix and rectum.
Cardio vascular system: This system circulates blood throughout the body and helps in the exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide. Different organs included in cardiovascular system are ventricles and aorta of heart, arteries, veins, capillaries, lungs.
Respiratory system: It includes nose, sinus, throat, trachea, two lungs and facilitates the inspiration and expiration of oxygen and carbon dioxide respectively.
Nervous system: This system is broadly divided into central and peripheral nervous system and the organs included in this system are brain, spinal cord and peripheral ganglion. Nervous system helps in perception and transmission of senses.

Endocrine system: Major endocrine glands of human body include hypothalamus, pineal gland, pituitary gland, thyroid gland, parathyroid glands, adrenal glands, islets of Langerhans in the pancreas, Ovaries in females and testis in males. Endocrine glands secrete different hormones which are vital in different body functions including reproduction.

Urinary system: Urinary system as shown human anatomy diagram human comprises of two kidneys, ureter, Uterus, urinary bladder and urethra. Urinary system facilitates excretion of liquid waste from the body.
Skeletal system: Human skeletal system as human anatomy diagram includes different bony parts like skull, sternum, ribs, clavicles, Femur, Patella, Tibia, fibula, vertebrae, ilium, sacrum, ischium, humerus, radius and ulna. Skeletal system provides support and protection to the body trunk.

Muscular system: Muscular system includes different muscles like Frontalis, trapezius, deltoid, pectoralis major, triceps, biceps, latissimus dorsil, adbonimal muscles, gluteus maximus, Sartorius, gastrocnemius and Achilles tendon.

Lymphatic system: The lymphatic system depicts different lymph nodes, thymus, lymph vessels, inguinal nodes, axillary nodes. Primary function of lymphatic system is to provide immune protection to the body.
